Looking for a place to belong?

You are welcome at our church!

We offer 9am and 11am service times on Sunday morning with children's ministry available during both services! Ages 0-2 years old and 3-5 years old/pre-k classes are all open. We also have children's church available for kindergarten-5th grade in our Fellowship Hall.
We love meeting new people and welcoming them into our family!
We know visiting a new church can be intimidating, so we would like you to know as much about us as possible before you come.
Below you will find answers to seven questions you may have as you consider visiting us.
What is the service like?
  • We love to worship God through singing! Sunday services begin with 3-4 songs.
  • During our service, we pursue the supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit which you can read more about here.
  • The preaching is mostly done “verse by verse” through a book of the Bible. On occasion, the message will be “topical” to address a relevant issue. The sermon is usually about 35 minutes.
  • At the end of the service, there is often an invitation to respond or receive prayer at the prayer benches (also called altars) at the front of the sanctuary.

What can my kids expect?
  • We love kids and babies! Little ones ages 0-2 years old go to the "Creation Room." This room is open all service. These kids can go to their room right when church starts or stay in the service until dismissal.
  • After the music is over, Pastor Ryan will verbally dismiss the remaining children through 5th grade.
  • Ages 3-5 years old (pre-kindergarten) children go to the "Ark Room."
  • Kindergarten-5th grade students go to the Fellowship Hall for children's church.

What is the music like?
  • Our goal is to be unhindered in our songs to God. We can tend to get loud, and you will likely see people raising their hands, clapping, kneeling or shouting for joy.
  • We sing a mix of current and older songs. The music is led by a full band with vocalists.

What if my baby gets loud?
  • Our Nursing Mothers Room looks right into the sanctuary while the window allows privacy for mamas inside.
  • Our Observation Room also looks right into the sanctuary. This room is equipped with sensory activities for children with special needs, but it is also a great place for parents to take young children who are too noisy for the sanctuary.
What should I wear?
  • You can come dressed casually or formally. Jeans and t-shirts are common at Living Word, but you may also see women wearing skirts and men wearing slacks and a button-down shirt.
  • We are much more focused on you joining us and finding a place to belong than we are with what you wear!
What if I don't have money to put in the plate you pass?
  • Great news! We do not pass an offering plate!
  • We believe that generous and cheerful giving is a beautiful part of worship, but we do not want anyone giving because they feel pressured.
  • There are wooden offering boxes on pedestals near every entrance to the sanctuary, so people can freely choose to give money at any point before, during or after the service.
How do I find different locations in the building?
  • We have a Visitor Desk in the lobby where a friendly person can answer your questions and help direct you to wherever you need to go in the building. We want you to feel welcome, so we are here to help!
